happy turkey day.
My favorite holiday. After Christmas of course because nothing beats Santa.
The negative of the day was not being with my family. However I was able to fill my day with distractions
I crafted fall-ish things. Crocheting headbands, hats, and scarves. Mod podged a few bookmarks. i also hemmed some high-waisted shorts and a maxi skirt but more on all those later.
I bought a cute lil turkey from Bulloch drug earlier in the week.
I spent four hours writing and reading in a local coffee shop for the sake of appearances because along with my disgust for the taste of coffee I gag at a mere whif of it.
Armed with Grapes of Wrath, a nose plug (not really) and a Starbucks holiday peppermint mocha hot chocolate (which for the record going into a local coffee shop with Starbucks is a big no-no judging from the glares given from the double tattooed and quadruple pierced Barista), I went in there to distract myself from not being with my family and to reflect on what i truly am thankful for.
Here's what I have so far:
I'm thankful for my brain. when it works.
I'm thankful for the gospel.
I'm thankful for Nicole O.P.I. Show You Care.
I'm thankful for my health.
I'm thankful for my seriously amazing friends who I would die without.

I'm thankful for my trials.
I'm thankful for the couple to my left snuggling together reminding me how i'm not in a relationship.
I'm thankful for my enjoyment of people watching.
I'm incredibly thankful for my family.
I'm thankful for my fear.
I'm thankful for my past.

I'm thankful for my life.
I'm also thankful for now being able to allow myself to sing along to the Christmas songs playing in Walmart.
