the list: #75 go to Holi Festival

For those of you who don't know Holi is a spring festival that's celebrated by the Hindus. I didn't know this before but there's a church in Spanish Fork, UT and every year Holi is a big celebration that thousands of people come to. Basically what you do is throw around this cool chalky stuff and yell things like, "ONE MONKEY!"

It's bunches of fun because you get to act like a little kid, get messy and colorful. I went this past summer with my really good friends Kacie, Saibra, and Alexis. Kacie lives right near Spanish Fork so it was perfect and a very inexpensive trip, something I'm ALWAYS in for considering I have $19.58 in my bank account.

These are my friends. They're pretty amazing people. Kacie, on the left, is now going to school at Utah Valley University. Saibs, next to me, is engaged and expecting her first child with her amazing boyfriend Shawn. and Alexis on the end is going to hair school in Riverton, Utah and loving life with her boy Corie.

They do the color throwing every hour but don't be caught in the middle of it with your mouth open. Let's just say it doesn't taste too good.

Hike-skoool fwends! GOLDEN! I love these girls!! We were on our high school lacrosse and swim teams together. Such good times with them so it was amazing seeing them again. I miss the memories and good times of high school.
Kens is now going to serve a mission in Cordoba, Argentina.
and Los is going to college at the University of Utah.

Yeah see, caught in the middle with my mouth open.

"Sometimes you throw color on your stretchy pants, is for fun"
"They stole my shoe!!"

Steve the security guard.

The finished product.

 Lil' Elfin' Annie.

All in all, it was an absolutely amazing weekend filled with inside jokes, laughing, and lots of fun. I would strongly suggest going to this festival for anyone and everyone. It was pure bliss having one day being a kid again. Plus I bonded with these girls a lot! Peace, love, and boink.

Rachel
